Exhibiting Your Work at SCIART
An exhibition of contemporary and innovative prints by California artists will be held at Studio Channel Islands Art Center Galleries from June 28th to August 9th, 2008. Call for entries can be downloaded and must be postmarked by May 1.
SCIART welcomes exhibition proposals from individual artists as well as organizations. We are receptive to all media.
We have three formal galleries and one hallway gallery:
The Evans Gallery is apx 600 square feet
The O’Keeffe Gallery is apx 1,190 square feet
The Gerd Koch Gallery is apx 300 square feet. Exhibition proposals should include:
1. A narrative of the exhibition concept, including the scope and time required to curate.
2. Images
3. Artist’s bio and/or resume and any available press materials
4. Who, if anyone, is sponsoring the exhibition.
The benefits of exhibiting at SCIART include:
1. The best exhibition space in Ventura County
2. County-wide press coverage
3. Printing of announcement card ( or assistance with same )
4. Postage
5. Well attended opening receptions
