Our member artists offer a wide variety of on-going classes and workshops for children and adults. The list of classes is constantly growing. Please visit our Classes for Children and Classes for Adults pages for the current schedule.

Every summer, we provide anArt Camp for Children teaching 120 classes over a period of four weeks. Children ages 6 to 14 are instructed by 14 artists in painting, ceramics, print making, mixed media, fiber arts, photography and art history.

Coming up in early 2013, we will offer a 5 day Art Camp for Adults. Participants will be able to choose from half-day workshops in weaving, painting, encaustic, print making and sculpture.
Each workshop will be offered for one week Monday through Friday to provide a full immersion into the chosen medium. Participants may choose one or two 3  hour classes for a half-day or whole day program. Full information will be announced soon.

Each year, Studio Channel Islands Art Center selects one student from a Ventura County College for an Award for Excellence in Art Studies. In addition, we provide opportunities for high school seniors and college students to get real life experience in the art world by offering internships. Students learn about organizing gallery exhibitions as well as marketing and promoting events. To apply, please contact the office.

Throughout the year, Studio Channel Islands Art Center offers a series of lectures at the Gallery. Artists Talks accompany the current exhibitions. Artists Talks are free to members and at a minimum cost for the public.

The Artists Studios are open to the public every first Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. In addition, groups are welcome to schedule guided gallery and studio tours. Please contact the office for availability.

Our local schools are invited to schedule field trips which include a guided tour of the gallery and studios as well as hands-on art projects provided by our artists. Please contact the office to schedule a visit.

Our Teachers’ Forum provides practical tips and professional support from our artists for teachers from Elementary to Middle School grade levels. To join this free program, please contact the office.
